Many hotels and apartment-complexes in Gran Canaria have their own mini-markets where you can buy essential groceries, beer, water etc. These are conveniently located close to the hotel reception. It is easy and stress free to shop at these places, but the prices are often very inflated. It is not uncommon to pay double for things like crisps, cheese, ham and bread at these mini-markets compared to normal supermarkets.
