Want to do some shopping while on holiday in Meloneras? The resort has many shops scattered around. But most of the shops are either very expensive selling designer clothes, or classic tourist shops selling junk souvenirs. It seems to be a lack of “middle of the road” shops like Zara, H&M and others who cater to people with average income.

Designer shops
If designer shops like Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana is what you are after, Meloneras is the right place. Along the beach promenade towards Maspalomas there are many exclusive and luxurious shops selling expensive designer items. Shoes and handbags priced at €200 and upwards is not something everyone can afford. But all the 5 star hotels in the close proximity to the shops should ensure that the business is well for the shop owners.

Shopping Center Varadero
In the center of Meloneras you’ll find the pretty large shopping centre named Varadero. There’s appx. 50 various shops here. Many of them are independent. They are not as expensive as the designer shops you will find along the promenade. There’s even a discount supermarket on the second floor.

There’s also a shopping center at the beach in Meloneras. Well, there’s someone who thought that it would be smart to locate a shopping center here. But, most of the space is vacant. The few shops that are here are mostly tourist shops selling the usual tourist junk.

Mango
In the centre of Meloneras, appx. 100 metres from the Casino, there is a branch of the famous Spanish clothing retailer Mango.
